Site reviews

In Yandex Browser, any user can leave site reviews. You can leave a review when you want to share your opinion and help other users make a well-informed decision.

View reviews

  1. In the SmartBox, click the connection status icon on the left. The Protect panel opens.

  2. In the Site reviews (Отзывы о сайте) section, click :

    • The number in the icon shows the total number of reviews for the site.
    • The green part of the colored bar represents the number of positive reviews.
    • The red part of the colored bar represents the number of negative reviews.

To see all the reviews, scroll down. You can also sort reviews by relevance, popularity, and recency and choose to display positive or negative reviews first.

Actions with reviews

Leave a review

1. In the SmartBox, click on the left and select the review icon.

2. To rate a site, click the necessary number of stars. A 1–3 star rating is colored in red, and a 4–5 star rating is colored in green.

3. Click Write a review (Оставить отзыв).

4. Write your impressions of the site. Please keep in mind the recommendations on writing reviews.

5. Click Submit review (Отправить отзыв).

Edit a review

1. Open the site.

2. In the SmartBox, click on the left and select the review icon. Your review is first on the list.

3. Click  → Edit (Изменить). A page with all your reviews opens. The necessary one is highlighted in yellow.

4. In the review card, click Edit (Изменить).

5. Make your changes.

6. Click Save review (Сохранить отзыв).

Delete a review

1. Open the site.

2. In the SmartBox, click on the left and select the review icon. Your review is first on the list.

3. Click  → Edit (Изменить). A page with all your reviews opens. The necessary one is highlighted in yellow.

4. In the review card, click Delete (Удалить).

5. Confirm deletion.

Rate a review

1. In the SmartBox, click on the left and select the review icon.

2. Click or under the review.

Report a review

If you notice a rule violation in some review, for example, adult content or insults, contact us.

Disable reviews in Yandex Browser

If you don't want to see site reviews in Yandex Browser:

  1. Нажмите  → Настройки → Интерфейс.

  2. Under SmartBox, deselect Show website reviews (icon to the left of the URL).

Manage data about your reviews

All your reviews are saved on Yandex servers. We store this data with utmost care and make sure it's well-protected. Our repositories comply with SOC 2, which is one of the most reliable international standards for managing user data.

You can download or delete your personal data.

  1. Go to Manage data and make sure that you're logged in with the correct Yandex ID.
  2. In the Services section, click the service name (for example, Yandex Browser), then click Order archive.

When the archive is ready, Yandex notifies you by email that you can download it. If you don't have a Yandex email, you have to check the archive loading status on the page.

Note

The archive is password-protected. To learn how to get a password and open the archive, go to Yandex ID Help.

  1. Go to Manage data and make sure that you're logged in with the correct Yandex ID.
  2. In the Services section, click the service name (for example, Yandex Browser). A list opens with the data that Yandex stores for this service.
  3. Select the data you want to delete and click Delete selected.
  4. In the window that opens, click Delete data.

After deletion, almost all data becomes unavailable. Yandex will store some data for a certain period of time, because this is required by law.
