Summarize text

The YandexGPT neural network can make a brief summary of an article to help you get the main idea faster. In a couple of seconds, YandexGPT will provide a list of the key statements, breaking down the article into clear digestible points.

Summing up

To summarize an article:

1. To the right of the SmartBox, click summarize.

   

   If the summarize button is missing, click  → Summarize to the right of the SmartBox.

2. The YandexGPT neural network will start analyzing the article. In the window that opens, you'll see the main points of the article.

   • To navigate to the desired part of the article, hover over the associated key point and click .

   • To go back, click Show the entire summary under the key point.

3. When the neural network finishes summarizing, you'll see a full list of the key points.

   

Under the summary, you can:

• Copy a link to the summary by clicking Link to summary.

• Copy the summary by clicking .

• Listen to the summary by clicking .

• Rate the summary by clicking either or .

Problems with a summary

Invalid article

The neural network won't summarize the article if:

• It's too long. Try choosing a shorter one.

• It can't be summarized. For example, it's the chords of a song or a list of ingredients in a recipe. Please choose another article.

Something went wrong

Neural networks are an evolving technology and sometimes they can make errors. If the message "Something went wrong" appears in the summary window, click Retry for the neural network to try again.

Yandex Browser update required

The neural network won't summarize an article if you have an outdated version of Yandex Browser installed. Update the browser and try to summarize again.
